Issue
After a meeting in New York City we had the opportunity to meet with one of the Largest Supermarket Chains. The major problem they were having was that they just were not getting the return on their investment they had hoped for with their current online marketing plan. The amount of products they had available was staggering, many of their flagship products selling in the stores were not selling online.
Challenge
After an SEO evaluation by Search Revenues, it was determined that many of their product detail pages were just not being reached by the search engines. The website in general was also missing meta-tags on the drill down pages. If there were any metas on subsequent pages, they were not properly formatted for the 'spiders' to crawl.
Solution
It was our job to see to it that these issues were repaired. Our team collaborated with the client to modify various pages within the website in order to create pages that were more search engine friendly. Within a few days we had the pay-per-click campaigns optimized and a call into Google by a developer and the project manager the following day ironed out a few more wrinkles. The client's domains were added to the search engines organically and within a month and what used to be their weak spot, their products sales online showed promise and began a growth stage. Since then the client added an online sales program similar to an order online/delivery service and they haven't looked back.
